Sourwood Raw Honey
Winner, 2017 Good Food Awards!
As the most sought-after Honey in the Southern United States, its extra light golden color and distinctively delicate flavor cannot be mistaken. The Sourwood Tree, also called Lily of the Valley Tree, blooms in midsummer near the Appalachian Trail. With its caramel flavor and hints of buttery maple, it tastes great on homemade biscuits, or for the tea lover, it's great in an exotic Oolong or delicate White Tea.
Fun Fact: Sourwood is a member of the heather family, which is why people from Ireland say it resembles Irish honey!
